Season Review – 7/29/2025

  • Gamechanger? Most liked it. Use it again
  • Umpire Clinic – necessary? Yes, need it and maybe offer more than one. Liked having it at New Life to see the height of the pitch.

Equipment and Logistics

  • Ensure availability of First Aid Kits, ice packs, balls, clicker, broom, score book, schedule, waivers, and
  • rulebooks. ADD BASE TOOL.
  • Discussion Jamboree event. Move to Mount Vernon fields (May 2nd with games starting May 12th &
    14th) – Eric is requesting. Maybe add a potluck.
  • Tournament Planning:
  • Arrangements for food, fields, triple elimination format, and deadlines.
  • Enhanced understanding of tournament rules.
  • Permissions required for player participation. – make sure all coaches know they can request
    additional players leading up to the tournament, they just have to ask permission first.
    o Umpire scheduling process.
    o Talked about changing the rule of higher seed being Home in the tournament instead of flipping
    o Feedback on facility storage at MP – store mats in the storage container.
    o Usage of drags at Everett. – yes, also Hannah to ask Everett parks about the lights.
    o Score keeper match scores before entering gamechanger.
    o Maybe paint for the foul line in the field.
    o Teams that play music need to play clean family friendly music.

Scheduling Notes

  • No games scheduled on the day before a holiday.
  • Jamboree should not be held on Mother’s Day weekend

Rule Amendments

  • Discussion of any current rule’s participants wish commissioners to clarify or modify, with rationale.
  • Clarify the run through the 1st rule.
  • Add min. 2 girls to min. 8 player’s rule.

  • Consideration of term limits to broaden service opportunities.
    • Andrew [up for re-election in 2025] – Vote proposed for a new two-year term
      Motion made to nominate Andrew for the vacant commission spot that ends in 2027. Motion 2nd,Motion carried.

    • Ryan [up for re-election in 2025] – Vote proposed for a new two-year term
      Motion made to nominate Jon Lundy for the vacant commissioner spot that ends in 2027. Motion 2nd, Motion carried.

    • Corey [up for re-election in 2025] – Vote proposed for a new two-year term
      Waiting to see if he wants to run again.
    • Josh [up for re-election in 2026]
  • Jon Ludy (Life Point Marysville) has expressed interest in serving.
  • Ryan Campbell will not seek another term.
